What I read this week

This week I read a graphic novel called Death Note. The story was written by Tsugumi Ohba and the art in the book is done by Takeshi Obata. This book is a mystery murder story that focuses on an old Japanese legend. A high school boy picks up a book call the death note. Later after reading what is in the book he figures out that whoever’s name he writes in the book, 50 seconds later they die of heart failure. With this power he starts to kill inmates and suspects of crimes thinking he is doing something good for the world. The Japanese government is asked the question “is it okay for someone to be killing people who do bad things”, they couldn’t give an answer so then they started the investigation that would lead to finding the killer. The boy who has the book is very smart and he joins the police force and helps them look for the killer (himself). He tricks the police force so well they end up chasing their own tail.
This book makes you want to get the next one because it pulls you so deep in to the story. This graphic novel is part 3 of 10. I know what happens at the end however, I want to know what happens in the middle of the story. This book is rated 13+ because it has a lot to do with death and killing.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery stories or graphic novels that take a long time to read because one of these books takes 2 times longer to read than a Naruto book
